Spring Greetings Adventure Women!

In the spirit of St. Patrick and with the "luck of the Irish”, we officially ended winter with our Winter Retreat ’06 on March 17th –19th at the AMC Highland Center at Crawford Notch, in Bretton Woods, NH. Sixteen Adventure Women from NH, ME, MA, VT and CT were challenged with winter hikes, Yoga/Reiki, energy work and DansKinetics, “Irish eyes were smiling” as we made our time together rich with love, support, energy, laughter and renewal.

Discard your winter gear and spring into this season of new beginnings with our “Spring Fling” . New this year, we invite you to reconnect with our Adventure Women alumnae from 1995 to 2006 retreat weekends, enjoy a springtime luncheon and challenge your creativity and adventurous spirit. Come and join the fun on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the Community Campus in Portsmouth, NH.

A generous donation from Eastern Mountain Sports launched our own t-bay (as in tortuga-bay) e-mail Silent Auction to benefit our Tortuga Scholarship Fund. The bidding for the Atlas 725 Snowshoe Kit created our own “March madness”. Click here to see the proud winner. Thank you EMS and all of you who made this t-bay Silent Auction successful.

Come support our 4th Annual Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats Craft Fair on Saturday September 9, 2006. We will be at a new location this year – Stratham Hill Park, Rt. 33, Stratham, NH. Many local and NE artisans have reserved their spaces to sell their arts and crafts to benefit our retreat programs for women living after breast cancer. We invite artisans/crafters to reserve a space and support our fundraising event. Mark your calendars for a fun-filled day of musical entertainment, food, raffles and beautiful arts and crafts.

“Stay Abreast” of our future Retreats and events here on our website. Plans are being finalized for our Fall ‘06 Health and Healing Retreat. Details will be posted on our Retreats page as they happen. In order to keep you “Abreast”, we need your current e-mail and address for our database. Please click here to send your information.

We could not continue Betty’s dream of “women helping women” without the financial and volunteer support of our Adventure Women. If you would like to “give back" for all the love and support you received in your breast cancer journey, please consider some of the volunteer and donation opportunities listed in our Opportunities for Giving.

I wish all of you the beauty and possibilities of Spring as we continue to “plant the seeds of love, kindness, laughter and support to those around us...".
