Seacoast Concert For A Cure

The Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats was chosen again this year as one of the local organizations to receive funds from the 3rd Annual Seacoast Concert for a Cure. The festivities featured an internationally acclaimed subversive bluegrass band The Mammals, Grammy nominee, Bill Morrissey, hot Texas singer songwriter Slaid Cleaves, The Joyce Andersen Band and Ben Baldwin & Kent Allyn. Hundreds of people participated in the Silent Auction and Raffle which included tickets to The Colbert Report and a trip for 2 to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies. Thanks to the many BJBBCR Adventure Women who volunteered at the Raffle/Silent Auction. All of the organizers, staff, artists, and sound engineers volunteered their skill and time. Redhook Brewery donated the performance and celebration space to ensure that the majority of the funds raised will go to the designated charities. This gathering was a wonderful celebration of hope and living our lives to the fullest after breast cancer. Thank you Seacoast Concert for a Cure.
